A Weekend with KoKo

I have the best in-laws. Ever. It's always a party with them and from day one they have welcomed me and made me feel like family. And it's so much fun to watch Cam be the typical big brother to his siblings. So when he said that Kordell was going to come spend Memorial Day weekend with us I was all for that.

On Saturday we headed downtown and first went to the "gum wall." And it was only after we were about 30 feet from the alley that BOTH boys realized that they had accidentally spit out their gum ealier. Hahah they had one job!! Still, Kordell posed for a picture like a good sport and pretended to contribute to the vandalism.

I know that Pikes Place Market is supposed to be this great, fun, tourist attraction but I honestly do not like it. Let me rephrase that; I haven't liked it since the first time I went. The first time it was fun and so cool and there was so much to see! Now, the fourth time that I have been there, it was just crowded, dirty, and there wasn't anything new. And I think the boys mostly felt the same way because aside from the 30 minutes that we spent in the comic book store, we weren't there for very long.

The pier was surprisingly empty so we hung out there for a while. S\Ever since Cameron bought me my camera he has been equally as obsessed with it. It seems like every time I get it around my neck and under my hair he sees something "so cool" and needs it back to take another picture. It's pretty cute, actually, and it keeps me laughing. So, during one of these times I thought I would try to photobomb him and I turned around really fast and smiled. Little did I know that he was right beside me and I was just 100% embarrassing myself. Ha. But then he insisted that I keep doing it until he got a "model" photo. This is the end result:

Haha anyway, Kordell wanted a picture of himself "holding" the Space Needle/Cam made him take a picture holding the Space Needle.

So I snapped this^^ picture. It kills me! I don't know why I find it so funny, probably because he is so far off from my angle? And he had no idea that I was taking it? HA I promise it gets funnier the longer you look at it! I don't know, but I think that this should def be his next profile pic.

We finished off the day trying to find Kordell some cool shirts but instead spent most of our time looking at socks. Ha the kid has like 80 pairs of socks! And then we went to Bdubbs for Kordell's first time and it was delish as per usual.

Sunday I had to give the opening prayer in Sacrament meeting and okay. They will probably never ask me back because I got so distracted by the way my voice sounded that I forgot what I was saying and then I forgot the word "Sabbath" and it was a small train wreck. And I am probably hopefully the only one that felt that way, but nonetheless, I was bright red afterwards and would be happy to not have to do that again the the near future.

After that catastrophe we headed down to the zoo and found a gorilla that was more of a hot mess than I am! I know that it looks like he just has some sweet dance moves but guys!

He was pooping INTO HIS HAND and then.. HE ATE IT. Oh my gosh. It was so so so gross. But it was the best show that we got. The dumb hippos, you know, the only animal that I was excited about, didn't move the entire time. For all I know they could just be big rocks with ears painted on. Major Disappointment.

But they day was still a definite success! There was a fake tractor to ride and some animals to pet and it was just a good time overall. And the company made it ten times better.

The rest of the weekend was spent shooting hoops, watching the boys play Madden and 2K, and eating BLT's. Cam and Kordell can talk trash to each other non-stop for hours on end! And you would not believe how many times that I heard, "best two out of three," and, "Okay, that's it, I'm not going easy on you anymore." HA. Have I mentioned how much fun my youngest brother-in-law is?!
