Bettin' & Bowlin'
Just as a preface, this is exactly how we ended up feeling about date night this week.
Friday basically went like this: Woke up on time. Decided to sleep through my first class. Woke up
an hour later and convinced Cam to let me skip my second class. Started watching Netflix and
decided to skip all of my classes. Oops. Cleaned the house (like award-winning-wife clean) and
procrastinated taking my physics test. Took my test. Failed my test. Came home and wanted to go
bowling.
Now, for any of you who know Cam well, you know not to make bets with him because he
ALWAYS wins. It's so dumb. Like last week I made a bet with him, lost, and had to take Herschel
out every single time he had to go to the bathroom for the entire week! But if you know me well, you
know that I just can't say no to a bet. Tonight, this turned out in my favor.
Bet #1: Cam bet me that he would get 3 strikes in a row. The wager? I had Herschel Duty for another week or he had to make dinner for a whole week.
I won! Please excuse my low bowling score. At least it's probably higher than my physics test score.. Haha
Bet #2: Cam bet me that I wouldn't break 50 points. The wager? Double or nothing. This was actually
a really safe bet on his part. On our first date we went bowling and there was at least one ball that I
accidentally threw outside of the bowling lane, down a hall, and into the janitors closet. Basically,
bowling is just not my strong suit.
Anyway,76 points later, I won! Again! At this point, Cam was sweatin' and desperate for one more
bet. He tried another double or nothing but I was not willing to risk my two weeks of not having to
make dinner so we decided to bet on who had the next two weeks of Herschel duty. All he had to do
was get four strikes throughout the entire game.
He didn't.
For the next two weeks he will hear plenty of What's-for-dinner's, Herschel-has-to-go's, and giggles
from this wife of his.
